+## Description
+
+Gold Bars are smelted from [Gold Ore](/Items/Ores/GoldOre) with [Coal Ore](/Items/Ores/CoalOre) as fuel. At 150 XP per bar they are by far the best Smelting experience in the game, and the main reason players push Mining to level 10 and head into the [Qabar Mines](/About/World).

+Blacksmiths value it for the skill gain more than the metal — gold is too soft for tool heads.
