# Ingots

Made at the furnace in the blacksmiths, or at the Arcane Forge in the [Astral Hollow](/About/World). Ingots are the material for every [Tool](/Items/Tools) in Azmarin.

## Notes

- **[Gold Bar](/Items/Ingots/GoldBar) is the best Smelting XP in the game** at 150 per bar. If you are levelling Smelting, gold is the answer.
- [Steel Bar](/Items/Ingots/SteelBar) is a two-stage smelt — you need an [Iron Bar](/Items/Ingots/IronBar) first, not iron ore.
- The [Arcane Ingot](/Items/Ingots/ArcaneIngot) runs on the Arcane skill, not Smelting, so it is reachable at Arcane level 1.
