## Description

Gold Ore is a heavy, bright yellow resource found deep in the [Qabar Mines](/About/World). It is far less common than copper, tin or iron, and a run of gold nodes is usually the reason a miner goes underground at all.

Miners value it for the Mining XP — at 45 XP per swing it is the best experience per node available at level 10. The raw ore itself sells for almost nothing, so the profit is in the [Gold Bar](/Items/Ingots/GoldBar), not the rock.
