+## Description
+
+The Water Artifact is the tier 1 artifact of the four elemental artifacts in Azmarin. Artifacts are pre-collapse objects, not crafted items — they are recovered from the world rather than made.
+
+It has no Arcane level requirement, so it is the artifact a new player is most likely to pick up first. Handling one gives 20 Arcane XP.
+
+Artifacts feed the Arcane Forge in the [Astral Hollow](/About/World), where they are combined with metal to make [Arcane Ingots](/Items/Ingots/ArcaneIngot) and the Basic Arcane tool set.
